Why SVA and Why now?

  • SVA’s charitable status gives wider access to funding
  • There is a growing audience for the visual arts in Kent and keen interest in and enthusiasm for, environmental projects
  • Kent is experiencing a cultural renaissance with Environmental art works and public art commissioning drawing business, public sector and private funding
  • Kent is experiencing substantial interest in regeneration initiatives including cultural regeneration of the area e.g. Margate – Turner Contemporary, Folkestone – Cultural Quarter
  • The expansion of Ashford, growing population, re-location of industry increases audience, publicity and funding for the arts
  • The fast rail link, Channel Tunnel and gateway to Europe encourages greater cultural exchange and opportunities for growth and development in Kent

SVA has to raise substantial amounts of income each year so support from donations is vital for our future growth. We are happy to acknowledge our supporters in our publications, exhibition programmes, conferences, web site and leaflets.

SVA seeks to establish mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors and have recently worked successfully with Quest International plc. We have many opportunities for business partners / private individuals/trusts to become involved in our work.
