1993- Stour Valley Art Project set up. Sandra Drew selected to design a project for the forest site.

- Richard Harris commissioned and completed a major work for the forest - ‘Untitled’ in three old flint pits and began his growing piece ‘Untitled’ which would take seven years to come to fruition. Stour Valley Art Project launched at Godmersham House in July.

- Lukasz Skapski commission completed with tree planting of ‘Via Lucem Continens’ in February and Midsummer Celebration on Midsummers Day also his exhibition Light Works at Maidstone Library Gallery, Rochester Art Gallery and Gillingham Library Gallery June - August, exhibition tours to Pier, Shoreditch, London and Globe Gallery, Newcastle

Strange Cargo worked with Challock County Primary School and Kennington County Primary School in workshops leading to the Midsummer Celebration in ‘Via Lucem Continens’. Monica Ross worked with students from Aylesford County Primary School special unit for sight impaired children and Nicola Barker with Dalston House secondary school for blind and partially sighted students with ‘How Close are You’ Light Works exhibition at Maidstone Library Gallery.

- Emily Richardson commission completed, the film ‘Aspect’ shown in the forest in September, publication ‘Time Frames’ launched at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in December with a screening of ‘Aspect’.
- Edwina fitzPatrick commission completed and ‘Arboreal Laboratory’ published and launched to coincide with the exhibition ‘Arboreal Laboratory’ in the Herbert Read Gallery, Kent Institute of Art & Design, Canterbury in October

- Jem Finer chooses Kingís Wood as the site for Score for a Hole in the Ground and redesigns his proposal for the Kingís Wood site.
- Discussion about Feasibility Study for a Kingís Wood building begun with Kent Architecture Centre.
- Planning begins for a conference, which will develop the ideas raised in the book Kingís Wood: A Context and scheduled for February 06.
- Publications: Kingís Wood: A Context published on the 18th June with a celebration party at Godmersham Park. Book becomes a bestseller for SVA and is also distributed internationally.
- Events: Peter Fillinghamís sculpture commission, The Last Eleven Years launched with a performance event on the 1st May and a Kentish Tea in the forest. An essay by Ian Hunt about the work was published.
- A story-telling walk Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, led by Jacqueline Summer, takes place around Kingís Wood, as part of the Canterbury Festival in October.
- Following this, the Big Draw, an artist-led project called Storylines, making stories onto the forest floor with materials of the forest. Over 100 individuals of all ages and many families participate. SVA staff assisted by volunteers and UCCA student placement, Theresa Tanner.
- Education Projects include: ART< >ECO programme in May with Whitstable Community College, artist Jackie Brown and ecologist Susie Walsh, concluding in September. Second Art<>Eco programme begins in September.

- SVA conference Lost in Space: Topographies, Geographies, Ecologies is held at the International Study Centre, Canterbury Cathedral in February. 150 delegates attended. The conference investigated the relationships between art, place and time.
- Construction work begins on Jem Finerís piece, A Score for a Hole in the Ground Australian artists Rodney Glick and Lynnette Voevodin begin 6-week residency in April
- Education Projects include: ART<>ECO programme running throughout 2006 with Homewood School, Tenterden, with artist Martin Brockman and ecologist Rosemary Hoare
- Development: Phase 1 of the Feasibility Study for a Kingís Wood building commissioned by SVA in association with the Forestry Commission, conducted by consultants Shea Debnam Associates.
