Stour Valley Arts works with a wide range of education artists to deliver workshops and is constantly looking to expand the range and diversity of its artist pool. We do not only work with visual artists but also work with poets, writers, musicians, dancers and performance artists.

All artists are CRB checked and insured.

Martin Brockman

Martin Brockman

Martin has worked at King's Wood over a number of years and is an experienced and skilled artist who works with wood and clay. He has a strong interest in the natural environment and is knowledgeable about the forest. Martin also works at SVA as sculpture warden and helps maintain the commissioned work in situ. He is also a trained art teacher and has extensive experience of working with children young people and students from a wide range of settings. He has been involved with For You Too and Art<>Eco programmes and SVA workshops.

 

Tim Norris

Tim Norris

Tim worked as an assistant to Richard Harris who was the first sculptor to be commissioned by SVA in 1994. He also made two student bursary pieces at King's Wood, Coppice Seat and Hill Seat.

Tim has made several commissioned pieces throughout the countryand has a range of experience in both exhibiting and constructing commissioned work in the landscape with a proven track record of commissions and residencies, including artist in residence at the Irwell Sculpture Trail, Grizedale Forest, and the National Cycle Network.

Sara Wicks

Sara Wicks

Sara is a painter and sculptor living and working in Kent. Her work has a strong narrative theme and she is interested in texture and natural materials. Sara has exhibited her work widely both in this country and abroad and has been an artist in residence at several Kent primary schools. She has run many workshops with SVA, has been involved with For You Too and is a teacher at UCCA.

 

Nikki Dennington

Nikki Dennington

Nikki has run several programmes and workshops for SVA. She is a sculptor and painter living and working in Kent. She has extensive experience of running workshops and art projects and has been involved with For You Too.
